I came into counselling in my mid-thirties, having had a career as a Solicitor in London and Exeter.
As a matrimonial Solicitor, I had been touched by the emotional distress that many of my clients experienced and I wanted to work with individuals in a deeper relational way focusing on emotional and psychological wellbeing.
I have 18 years of post-qualification experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist in different settings. I worked for the Exeter & District NHS Trust Counselling Service for 10 years and 3 years for the Margaret Jackson Centre Counselling Service in Exeter.
I have provided counselling for Occupational Health staff, worked with Victim Support staff and counselled students participating on counselling courses. I have worked on a student helpline.
Currently, I have my own private practice in Exeter which I have been running for 5 years.
